Twentieth-century Venetian barocchetto chest of drawers

Chest of drawers in twentieth-century Venetian barocchetto style, made in walnut and pale walnut burl. The piece has the elegant moving, bombé line “a bomè”, typical of the Venetian tradition of the eighteenth century, enriched by refined stringing and inlays that bring out the contrast of colour between the woods.

The body has three wide drawers below, joined in the upper band by three further small parallel drawers, a typical feature of period Venetian chests. The sinuous front and the moving sides show the careful handwork, while the pale walnut burl gives the whole light and elegance.

A piece of great decorative charm, ideal for classical rooms, antique settings or reception rooms, joining Venetian taste and twentieth-century quality of execution.
