Description
Important antique bookcase sideboard made from a genuine seventeenth-century confessional. A very rare piece, hard to find on the antiques market and practically absent from modern auctions.

The piece is made in softwood and was later transformed and reworked, while keeping the original seventeenth-century structure. The base comes from an eighteenth-century piece, while the painted decoration was carried out in the early twentieth century by the master Accordi.

The surfaces are decorated with country scenes, pastoral landscapes and hunting subjects, in the Venetian decorative tradition and in the “arte povera” of the Serenissima.

It is a one-off object of great historical and collector's value, destined to keep and increase its worth over time.
