Antique eighteenth-century canterano in solid wood
Description
Important canterano of the eighteenth century, a genuine antique made entirely in solid wood.
It has three wide front drawers with their original locks, which add to its historical value and its charm. The lines are sober but elegant, typical of the production of the period, while the original patina speaks of the passing of time and of the authenticity of the piece.
Canterani spread between the end of the seventeenth and the beginning of the eighteenth century in Italy and France. Originally they were simple single-compartment structures raised on feet; over time they developed into more practical pieces, divided into stacked drawers, called “càntere”.
