  • Description
Rare and evocative pair of eighteenth-century processional lanterns of Veneto make, complete with wooden pole and standing base.
  • Each lantern has a six-sided structure, finely worked and pierced, without glass. The surfaces are decorated with elegant scrolls and motifs typical of Baroque sacred art. The top is crowned by a small pierced dome, made to let the smoke of the candle inside escape.
  • The metal is enriched by an old silvering with its original patina, which brings out its charm and its historical authenticity. The lanterns are mounted on long turned wooden poles, complete with a base, which make them easy to display.
  • The whole stands out for its slender line and for the harmony between the wooden element and the metal structure, creating an object of strong presence.
